"Jaripeo (Bull Riding)". 2012.

Jaripeo is a book that documents the bull riding sub-culture popular amongst immigrants from Mexico. These events are often held in rural towns along the Northeast, but have began to appear in more urban areas such as the Bronx and Newark. The book provides an intimate look into a cultural occurence that only a marginalized are aware of.

"El Otro Lado" (The Other Side). 2011.

El Otro Lado (The Other Side) is a reference to how people in Mexico refer to the United States. By placing an authentic Mexican textile adjacent to a digitally rendered one made by me, a tension is created by the two as they fight for authenticity.

A series of books that is based on the web publication the Baltimore Brew. The concept was to emphasize the translation from web to print and allow the internet to transcend the one dimensional nature of our screens and into tangible content.
